The game is not available for my mobile device. Why?

We want to ensure you have the best playing experience, so unfortunately Bubble Witch 3 Saga is not available for all mobile devices.

If I upgrade the software on my device, will I lose my progress?

If you are upgrading to a new device, or planning to install new software, please ensure you either connect the game to Facebook or King.com. Alternatively, back-up your device first which will ensure that you do not lose your level progress - please be aware that items, such as Boosters and Gold Bars, can be lost during this process. How To Play

How do I play Bubble Witch 3 Saga?

Tap and hold to aim, and release your finger to shoot the colored bubble at the top of your shooter. If your bubble lands in a spot near two or more same-colored ones, they will all pop! You have a limited amount of bubbles to shoot in each level.

I see two bubbles in the shooter, can I shoot the second one?

Sure! You can tap the shooter anytime to switch back and forth between the two bubbles.

How do I pass a level in Bubble Witch 3 Saga?

To complete a level, you have to achieve its level goal, which varies depending on the game mode.

Which are the different game modes?

There are several game modes, each of which challenges you in a different way:

  • Clear All: Remove all the bubbles to win the level.
  • Lead the Ghost Upwards: build an ascending path for the little ghost so he can reach his friends waiting at the top.
  • Release the Owls: rescue the owls by matching the bubbles they are trapped in.
  • Defeat Wilbur: to defeat Wilbur, you have to deplete his magic shield! Pop bubbles that contain fairies, so they are released and can diminish the shield’s energy.

Who is Nero?

Nero is Stella’s faithful apprentice wizard. Despite his limited abilities, he is crucial to overcome the wicked bubbly challenges devised by Wilbur!

How can I charge Nero’s Power?

There are two ways to charge Nero’s Power:

  • Matching bubbles: Whenever you make a match, the magic released in the explosion will charge the power. The bigger the match, the bigger the charge.
  • Discarding your bubbles: tap on Nero to send him the current bubble in your shooter, and he will transform it into a lot of magic charge!

How do I use Nero’s Power?

Once it is completely filled, Nero will automatically put a powerful bomb in your shooter, with which you can clear an area of bubbles of any type. If you don’t want to use it at that moment, you can tap on the shooter to switch to other colored bubbles.

What are fairies?

Fairies are a tiny light beings that may appear trapped inside colored bubbles. If you release them, in exchange they will pop one or more bubbles for you in gratefulness. Sometimes they may even release another sister fairy!

How do I gain points?

The more bubbles you pop, the more points you will earn; the more matches you make in a row, the more points each bubble gives!
When falling into the purple Vortex on the ground, colored bubbles give 50 points each; power-ups and trouble bubbles give 100 points.
You can get extra points for any remaining bubbles not used when completing a level.
You also get points by bouncing on the walls when shooting.

What do power-ups do?

They are special, white-magic bubbles that can help you through a challenging level.

  • Arcane Bubble: hit it with any bubble to burst everything around it.
  • Line Blast: hit it with any bubble to explode everything in its row.
  • Fire Arrow: it changes direction every turn! Hit it with any bubble to shoot it in its current direction.
  • Fairy Nest: hit it with a color bubble, and the little fairies will remove all visible bubbles of that color.
  • Bonus Moves: hit it with any bubble to increase your bubbles counter. Beware that the number decreases every turn, so plan your moves!
  • MoreLess bubble: watch out, these bubbles can be good or bad! Every turn, they swap their state, either giving or removing one move when you hit them with any bubble.
  • Firecrackers: hit them with any bubble to unleash three rockets that may explode any element on the screen.

What is a Trouble Bubble?

Trouble Bubbles are any kind of element that is not a colored bubble. Wilbur uses them to make defeating levels more challenging!

  • Clone Bubble: this colorless bubble will absorb the color of the first surrounding match. After getting color, they can auto-match themselves! Use this to your advantage.
  • Black Bubble: it cannot be matched with any bubble, so to get past them, you have to either make them fall, or burst them with a power-up, Nero’s Power, or a Spell.
  • Spider Web: Spider Webs stick bubbles to their position, and impede advancing until you get rid of them. For that, you can either burst the bubble at the center of the web, or remove all the bubbles surrounding the central one.
  • Bat: this playful creatures cling onto a bubble and won’t let it fall. To get rid of them, you have to match or burst the bubble they are holding.
  • Cloud: Clouds hide whatever is behind them. To make clouds disappear, hit them with any bubble, or make a match around them. Please note that can match with colored bubbles hidden by clouds, so try your luck!
  • Golem: they are indecisive creatures. They open their mouth, then close it again, then open one more time, and so on. You can only affect the bubble inside the mouth when it is open.
  • Duo Bubbles: these are bubbles with two colors. You have to match them twice to get rid of them.
  • Pumpkin: the can be burst by hitting them with any bubble.
  • Ice: to melt it, match any bubbles surrounding the ice.
  • Frogsty: after every shot, it'll smack a cold kiss to the bubble it sits on, freezing it, and move to another position. To get rid of it, you may burst the bubble it is sitting on.

What are Spells?

Spells (known in other games as ‘Boosters’) are powerful aids that can be helpful if you find if you find yourself stuck on a challenging level.

What types of Spells are available?

You can use Gold Bars to purchase Spells from the in-game shop. Each Spell allows you to do something magically powerful in the game.

  • Stereo Bolt: Use this booster to destroy a horizontal line of any kind of bubbles. It is unlocked in level 19.
  • Sparkling Blast: Witches bomb! This booster will remove a circular area of bubbles. It is unlocked in level 34.
  • Magic Beam: Handle with care! It will wipe out a wide area of whatever it finds in its way up to the top of the screen. It is unlocked in level 49.

How do I get more Spells?

Spells are unlocked as you progress through the levels. After unlocking a new Spell, you’re given a quantity of them to use. If you want to get more, at any moment during a level, tap on the booster buttons at the bottom on the screen, and the booster shop will be displayed.

At certain moments, there will be limited offers of Spells that can be purchased along with Gold Bars in the Violet’s Magic Shop shop.

What are Gold Bars?

Gold Bars are the in-game currency that can be used to help you on your journey to defeat Wilbur and rescue the Fairy Queen. They allow you to buy extra lives and spells. You can purchase Gold Bars from the shop.

How do I get more Gold Bars?

You can buy Gold Bars from Violet’s Magic Shop. You can access the shop by clicking the ‘Shop’ button at the top-right corner of the screen while in the map. If you want to buy a spell while in a level, but don’t have enough Gold Bars, the shop will appear automatically allowing you to purchase them without leaving the level.

What is Stella’s home?

Stella settled after her adventures in Bubble Witch Saga 2. Wilbur destroyed her house trying to distract you from the kidnapping of the Fairy Queen, to gain advantage. But that will not stop Stella! She will have to rescue the Fairy Queen while you rebuild for her a brand new home with the help of the fairies.

How can I rebuild Stella’s home?

By earning as many stars as possible in the levels, to get Star Dust and use it to improve each home element.

Do I get any reward for rebuilding Stella’s home?

For each finished upgrade, you will get a reward: lives, Spells… even Gold Bars! So make sure you collect stars, complete quests and visit your friend’s homes to gather as many Star Dust as possible.

How do I access Stella’s home?

Tap the button with a house (at the bottom of the map) to check anytime the current state of Stella’s home and, if you have enough Star Dust, upgrade the elements in it.

What is Star Dust?

Construction spells need Star Dust; constructions spell turn the dust into physical things, in a fashion similar to alchemy.

How do I get more Star Dust?

There are several ways to obtain Star Dust:

  • Earn level stars to fill the star bar at the bottom of the map to get a bottle of fresh Star Dust
  • Complete Nero's Quests
  • Visiting your friends' homes, then tapping on the fairies they have flying around. You can reach them by tapping on a friend on the Friends Bar on Stella's Home screen.

What are Stars?

Stars measure your performance as a bubble witch: the higher your score in each level, the more stars you will get (up to three).

How do I get Stars?

By completing levels! Keep trying to get a higher score if you don’t get all three stars at first.

What is Rank?

In Bubble Witch Saga 2, Stella was an apprentice and she couldn’t rank up. But now she has graduated and become a member of the Witches Guild as a lowest-rank witch. Each rank measures the recognition of the Witches Guild, and when she obtains enough stars she will rank up! And each time she ranks up, the Witches Guild will send her a chest with awesome prizes!

What are Quests?

Quests are special tasks you can complete to earn fantastic prizes! They are unlocked in level 20, and you will be able to claim the prizes when you complete them.

How do I complete Quests?

Just by playing! Play the game normally and, when you complete a quest, the game will notify you.

How do I enter the Quests list?

Just by tapping the button at the bottom on the map. You will have a notification on this button when you have new things to do!

How do I claim a reward?

When a quest is completed, a notification will appear on the quests button. Just tap on it to claim your reward!

When will I have new quests?

Three new quests are available every day! Just wait until 12 p.m., 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to have a new quest on your list. But be sure you have enough space for the new quest, since you only have 3 slots. If all slots are full, complete at least one quest before to have room for the new ones.

I don’t like a quest I have received, can I erase it?

Of course you can! In fact, you won’t lose that quests since a new quest will replace it. Tap on the ‘x’ button on the quest you want to remove to replace it instantaneously. You can replace a maximum of one quest every day.

Is it possible to complete the game without buying anything?

Yes. In fact, it’s not only possible, but very common. Most people who complete all the levels the game have not bought anything at all.

How many lives do you get in Bubble Witch 3 Saga?

You begin the game with five lives. If you don’t pass a level, you will lose a life, with one life being refilled for free every 30 minutes. If you don’t like waiting, you can get a full set of lives in exchange for Gold Bars from the in-game shop, or ask your friends to send you extra lives.

When are you releasing more levels?

We’re always adding new levels to the game, so keep an eye on the King Care blog for regular updates.

Troubleshooting

The game keeps freezing/crashing. What should I do?

Please try all the options below to resolve the issue:

  • Restart your device - Memory issues on your device can cause a game freeze/crash. The best way to fix these issues is to restart your device, which clears the memory (this will not cause any loss of data).
  • Reset the game - Resetting the game can also fix freezing issues. Give it a try!
  • Update game software - Check the app store for updates to the game. Out of date software can lead to performance issues, including freezing.
  • Update device software - Finally, you should always ensure that your device has the latest software.

If I try to re-install the game, will I lose my progress?

If you have connected the game to your Facebook or King.com account, your progress will be saved. However, if you’ve never connected to Facebook or King.com and played the game offline, your progress will be saved locally (on the device) and will therefore be lost when the app is deleted or the phone is restored to factory settings. We recommend connecting regularly to ensure your progress can be restored in the event that you need to replace your device. Boosters and Gold Bars will be lost since they are stored on the device. If you experience this issue please contact us.

I can’t synchronise my progress, what should I do?

If you are experiencing issues synchronising the game to your Facebook or King.com account, please try all the options below to resolve the issue:

  • Restart your device - Memory issues on your device can cause sync issues. Restarting your device will clear the memory (this will not cause any loss of data) and should resolve the problem.
  • Reset the game - Resetting the game can also fix sync issues. Give it a try!
  • Update game software - Check the app store for updates to the game. Out of date software can lead to performance issues.
  • If you are trying to sync the game with Facebook, try deleting the Facebook app from your device and re-installing to kick-start the sync process.
  • Update device software - Finally, you should always ensure that your device has the latest software.

I purchased/received boosters and/or lives on my tablet, but cannot see them when I play the game on mobile. Why?

When you receive life notifications or buy/accept boosters, they are delivered to the device you are using. If you switch devices, boosters and lives will not appear, only level progression and Gold Bars are synchronized across all platforms.

How do unlimited lives work?

Our games operate in real time. When you receive unlimited lives the timer starts as soon as you receive the items and continues even if you are not playing.

How do I save my progress?

There are two ways to save your progress; via Facebook (this option is only available if the game can be played on Facebook) and via Kingdom. By connecting to Kingdom or Facebook, you can…

  • Save your game: You’ll be able to synchronize your progress from Facebook/Kingdom to your mobile device and vice versa, this ensures that your progress will not be lost should you switch devices.
  • Get help from friends: The more the merrier! On Facebook and Kingdom you can keep up to date with the progress of friends or other King players (score and level) and compete against them to make sure you’re top of the score list. Friends and players within the Kingdom can also give you more lives and help you to unlock new episodes.

Do I need a Facebook or Kingdom account to play?

No. You can play the full game without ever connecting to Facebook or Kingdom. In fact, you can even play the game without an internet connection. However, please remember that if you do not connect, your progress will be lost.

The game says I have to wait hundreds of minutes for my next life, what’s happened?

If you have recently changed the time on your device (due to travelling or other reasons) this may affect the lives timer in game. To fix the issue, please open the map screen in the game and check how long you have to wait for your next life. Now set the clock on your device forward by that amount of time.

For example, if the game says “100 hours until your next life" you will need to change the date in your phone’s calendar. In this case, please calculate how many days are in 100 hours and set the date forward accordingly. Once this is complete, briefly return to the game’s map screen and then return to the settings menu on your device and set the date and/or time back to the correct time. Finally, restart your device and this should resolve the problem.

When are you releasing new levels?

New levels are released as regularly as possible. Quality is important to us, and we always want to ensure new content is up to the highest possible standard, occasionally this process can take some time. Keep an eye on our official Facebook fan page for updates on the latest episode releases.

The levels seem different on desktop vs. mobile. Why?

Occasionally there may be some slight differences between levels on desktop vs. mobile. This is because we sometimes adjust levels to make them better suited to the mobile experience.

How do I turn off notifications on Android?

Notifications can be switched off through your device’s settings menu.

  • Open ‘Settings’
  • Select ‘Apps/App Manager’
  • Then select the Bubble Witch 3 Saga
  • Now simply uncheck the ‘Show Notifications’ option

I am having trouble connecting to the app store. Help!

If you are having trouble connecting the the app store to make a purchase in-game, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

  • Open the game on your device
  • Try to make a purchase with Gold Bars
  • If you receive an error message, please close the pop-up screen
  • Return to the main menu screen in game and sign out of Facebook/Kingdom – this option can usually be found in the game’s settings menu
  • Exit the game and close down all open apps on your device
  • Then go to ‘Settings’ on your device and sign out of the app store
  • If you are playing on Android, please clear the game’s cache – go to Settings > Apps/App Manager > Game > Clear Cache
  • Switch off your device and leave it for two minutes. This will also clear the cache
  • Switch on your device, go to ‘Settings’ and sign in to the app store
  • Finally, open the game, connect to Facebook/Kingdom and then try to make your purchase again.

I am not receiving messages in-game from friends and/or other Kingdom players. Why?

Sometimes, due to the volume of messages being sent globally, some messages may occasionally drop. If this occurs, we recommend re-sending your request to friends. If this doesn’t solve the issue, please contact us.

I have seen King promotions such as survey, which I can complete to win prizes. Is this genuine?

King only run competitions and promotions via our official social media and website channels. Please look for the official blue verified tick on all social channels before engaging in any promotions, offers or competitions. We will never request personal information, such as bank details, for our promotions.

I have been stuck on a level for ages. Is the game fixed?

While some levels can be challenging, we would like to reassure you that all levels can be completed without using boosters or extra moves. All of our games are a blended mix of luck, skill and tactics. Starting boards are randomly generated. Once the level begins it’s down to your choices in game which affect/determine the outcome of the level. Why does my friend have new game features, but I do not?

From time to time we test temporary new features in our games, this is rolled out to a small selection of players. The selection process is completely random. If we decide that a new feature will remain in game, it will then be rolled out to all players.

Who are the other players that show up on the map and in my high scores list?

The players that show up in high score lists and on the maps inside the game are other players like you. When you play our games, you are assigned to a group of other players who you can compete or collaborate with. You can also search for your own friends by entering their email address, or inviting them via email.

How do I take a screenshot?

Occasionally, to fully understand the problems you are encountering, we may require a screenshot from your device. It is also best practice to do this whenever you encounter a problem. Please follow the instructions below on how to take a screenshot:

For Mac

  • To capture the entire screen - Hold down ‘command, shift and 3’ on your keyboard
  • To capture only a selection of your screen – Hold down ‘‘command, shift and 4’ and then click (do not release your finger from the mouse) and drag the cursor over the area you would like to capture. Release the click and this will capture the screenshot
  • Mac screenshots are automatically saved to your desktop

For Windows (desktop)

  • Press ‘PrtScn’ on your keyboard to capture the entire screen
  • The screenshot will be copied to an invisible clipboard
  • Open a new Word document or Paint and press and hold ‘Ctrl and V’ to paste the screenshot. You can then save the screenshot to your desktop
  • If you only wish to capture one Window on your screen, press and hold ‘Alt’ and ‘PrtScn’
  • Alternatively, you can use the Snipping Tool program on your Windows computer. Open the program and click “New" in the program window.
